I'll announce the TWO lucky winners the following week! Big thanks go out to my chums over at for sending Trick 'r Treat Animated Sam my way. The deadline for entries is October 31st at midnight! After all, who doesn't love a fun Halloween craft project to pass the time during the spookiest of seasons? After all the entries are in, I'll be judging them based on creativity and simply how much they make me smile. You don't have to register an account in order to post, so just upload your Sam art somewhere and post the link right here in the thread. (you can even use crayons for all I care), and then post your image on here in this thread or give me a link to it. As you can see, you don't have to be an amazing artist at all just draw Sam along with another character in Photoshop / MS Paint / etc. ![]() Yeah, that's right, I drew Sam riding on BB-8 from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I took the liberty of drawing an example so you know the kind of art I'm talking about: I'm not judging it based on that, I'm judging it based on how much your drawing makes me smile. Don't worry if you're not an amazing artist. But rather than buy him, I'm giving you a chance to WIN your very own Animated Sam figure today! All you have to do is draw Sam hanging out with another pop culture character. What's not to love? He's everything that fans of Trick 'r Treat could ever want without having to spend a fortune on a toy. when you push his hand, he actually waddles around while playing creepy sounds! Check it out: Plus, he has something none of the other figures have. We've seen the Funko POP! and Super7 ReAction Sam figures, but I think this is one displays far better and is easily the most adorable of the bunch. He's perfectly plushy and squashed to the right proportions, yet still maintains all the essential details that make him Sam - from his Halloweeny pumpkin lollipop to the stitching and patches on his body. This is one of those rare cases where I dare say the toy looks better than what's pictured on the package. Of course, it would've been funnier if you had to open a "poop flap" in his pajamas to do it, but we'll take what we can get when it comes to Sam. I love that you have to open his footy pajamas in the back by undoing some velcro (just like classic pajamas) in order to turn his power on. when even the illustration on the instructions sheet puts a smile on your face, you know you're dealing with something great. ![]() ![]() The best representation of Sam will always be the original Sideshow Collectibles figure, but considering that one was extremely limited in release and it now goes for $500+, you'll probably want to find an alternative. But first, let's take look at the subject of today's entry:īehold the Trick 'r Treat Animated Sam plush toy! I was really excited when I first saw this thing promoted, not just because I have an ever-growing collection of Sam toys, but because it's probably the most adorable one I've seen so far. One of their most recent October offerings is also one of my favorites to date, and I'm going to be giving two of them away to some lucky winners. Whether it's a floating Slimer with exaggerated butt cheeks, or a giant inflatable Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, they never seem to disappoint. I've reviewed a variety of Halloween novelties from Morbid Enterprises over the years, as they produce the kind of items that anybody would drool over.
